Biodegration of plastic waste by using novel bacteria

Plastic pollution has emerged as one of the most critical environmental challenges of the 21st century. The rapid increase in the production and consumption of plastics, combined with their resistance to natural degradation, has resulted in the accumulation of vast amounts of plastic waste in landfills, oceans, and terrestrial ecosystems. Conventional waste management approaches such as landfilling, incineration, and recycling have proven insufficient in addressing the scale and persistence of this problem.
